The LED light is illuminated when the swing is on, and not illuminated when the swing is off. Observe the swinging motion for a minute. It takes up to a minute for the swing to reach the correct setting. Change setting if needed by moving the dial clockwise for faster speeds or counter-clockwise for slower speeds.
