This is definitely an extra large mat. It is really nice having a yoga mat that does not feel claustrophobia-inducing, so I can do poses without trying to not go off the mat. The mat still has the classic hard-to-not-have-curl-up issue that most yoga mats do, but that is to be expected.
I didn't find much of an unpleasant smell to the mat after opening it, which surprised me. The mat has a good thickness to it that allows some comfort while working on the tile flooring and absorbs a nice amount of impact. I found the quality of the material was nice and I feel this mat will last for a good amount of time.
The mat itself does have a good amount of tackiness on the bottom and I found I was comfortable about it not slipping around, even when my son decided it was a stunt platform. My only real complaint with it is that the cork top feels a bit too smooth. I have a hard time getting my grip on it and found my hands wanting to slide around, which I never have that problem when using a cheap yoga mat. I will probably need to invest in some gloves with grip to really be comfortable using this mat.
The mat comes with a carrying bag which is a little too small, so you really need to do a good job rolling up the mat tightly to get it to work. They also provide you with some low-quality mini stretch bands for leg exercises.
Overall it is a nice mat. It definitely has a fancy feel to it and the colors are attractive. I just wish that the top wasn't so smooth and a slightly bigger bag would have been appreciated.
