very cute, but more novelty than function
i was looking for a little toy barbell set for my son and, as a toy, this is super cute. it comes with wayyy more plates than you’ll ever need (double what you see on the bar). there is a really small hole to put sand or water in the plates (if you actually want to weight them) with a rubber stopper. it also has the ability to screw together like a dumbbell or wide like a barbell. from an age perspective, my son is not quite 16 months old and i knew this would be a little big for him and it was, he’s not quite sure how to use it yet. i think this would be a good toy for at least a 2 year old, but may even be more functional for closer to 3. my only note on this is, although it’s nice to be able to add weight to the plates, i simply don’t think you’d ever want to weigh them down that much…plus the bar is literally plastic and probably can’t handle much of a heavy load. this is best for more of a novelty toy to help children understand the concept of a barbell, less for them to use it for actual gains

    This is perfect for the little ones. My grandson loved it but the plugs that hold in the water got lost pretty fast. Would love a way to replace just that
