Why doesn’t Ziruma use mineral oil on its cutting boards?
Some cutting boards use low-grade, petroleum-derived mineral oil that can transfer to food over time. Ziruma boards are finished with a food-safe, petroleum-free wax made from natural ingredients like beeswax, lemon oil, and linseed oil.
Are wooden cutting boards better than plastic ones
Plastic cutting boards can develop deep knife grooves that trap moisture and food residue over time. Some studies have observed that wood surfaces behave differently, which is why many people prefer hardwoods like acacia for everyday food prep
Why are there three different labeled sizes for the cutting board?

Does this cutting board damage knives?
No. Acacia wood is firm yet gentle on knives, helping keep blades sharper for longer compared to hard surfaces like stainless steel, titanium, glass or marble.
How do I care for and maintain a wood cutting board?
To care for your acacia wood cutting board, wash it by hand with warm water and mild soap, then dry immediately. Avoid soaking or dishwashers. Applying food-safe oil or beeswax helps prevent drying and keeps the wood in great condition.
